Interview to Priscila Balogh
My momma always said life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get. But I must say that I’m on a streak (a hat-trick, ladies and gentlemen) because this is my third edition of 9 inches of cock, and I have a luxury guest. Guess who I have here in the studio? Yeah, it’s the famous Priscila Balogh, aka Miss Balogh.} Ok, I don’t need to introduce her. You already know who she is, don’t think that you can fool us by hiding your browsing history hehe. She is amazing and a legend. Last time I saw her was a few years ago, when she told me she was retiring from porn, and she did. But recently I saw her on the street and was so glad and curious to know what’s new in her life. So I decided to invite her here today. I hope you like the interview. Alex: Welcome to 9 inches of fun Pris, thanks for being here. I must say you look great! Priscila: Awww Hi Alexus, thank you very much for the invitation. It’s a pleasure to be able to talk to you and your fans here! I love the name of the show, hehe. Alex: Let’s start with something everyone wants to know: where have you been? I think you disappeared at least a couple of years from the scene. Priscila: Laughs… everyone asks me that. The SL porn scene requires a lot of work. I’ve always been very dedicated to an acting career. Besides that, I had two personal blogs (English and Portuguese versions). I also produced a magazine for Brazilians. In addition, I have always been involved in numerous agreements with producers and islands for Second Life. I was getting pretty tired and stuck with an acting model that was crippling my creativity. I stopped and gave a chance to small projects, then I moved a little away from the cameras and the red carpet. Alex: How did that time away from the scene help you? Priscila: Basically, my personal schedule got bigger. I found time to do other things that the SL world offers like going to museums, universities and meeting people who weren’t from the porn world. Also, it gave me time to devote myself to smaller projects. Alex: How do you think porn has changed since you started until now? Priscila: Everything (laughs). I have an opinion, you don’t need to agree with me. SL porn still has the same essence. But the dimensions of the pornographic world were expanded (and I’m glad that happened). Access is currently easier. You find different and artistic ways to produce film and photos (because of the evolution of viewers and editing programs). Production techniques have had a very real impact. Today we have several categories within the porn world. For example, in my day the main category was interracial. Entering this scenario was the gateway, but it was very limited for many who wanted to enter, especially white or Latino actors. Currently, we have a lot of work to include, expand and participate in different categories. On the other hand, if we had the technological advance that we currently have at that beginning, I believe that the porn world would have a different ‘prestige’ nowadays. When I started the bodies weren’t mesh. Today it may seem strange, but back then building an attractive body with personality was very difficult. We didn’t have many promotion channels, my blog was one of the first. And we also brought the art to Flickr, which is a very common portal these days. It has a lot of talented producers, as well as a great diversity of beautiful and well-built actresses and actors. However, I feel that the various achievements of the pornographic scene have been reduced or are not used properly. It’s a feeling I get, maybe I’m wrong. But the artist needs to want his work to be seen by as many people as possible, the producer needs to be more active in relation to his product. Offer the experience. It’s not enough to produce, upload on a social network, advertise in a group and abandon it (thinking that only quality and your talent will be like magnets to attract and spread to fans). I think those involved should be more participative as in the past (do I look like a dinosaur saying that? I hope not). But I was a judge in two editions of the prestigious SX Awards and noticed the absence of many good artists from the second life porn scene, for example. Alex: Now that we are remembering that, based on your own experience, what would be the pros and cons of working in porn? Priscila: Oh my God! It’s a very personal and complex question for me. I think there are a lot more pros than cons. Personally, I don’t have much to complain about. I was very lucky; it was like I was in the right place and at the right time. I never produced a movie, but I’ve participated in over 44 of them, all with thousands of views. I was very famous in my time. For many, I’m an icon. Others consider me outdated. These are opinions, and I respect them! Living in the porn world as I did was easy for me because I was younger and full of energy. For these reasons, I explored well the main pros which were self-exploring my artistic qualities, creativity, and offering the experience of the environment. I was involved so much with my producers, co-workers, and fans. I never proclaimed myself Miss Balogh, this title was given by the people who interacted with me at that time. And for me, the main drawback was the fame associated with a type of image. The feeling I had was that my artistic freedom was privatized by the fans, who always demanded the same behavior and look from me. Obviously, I never stopped doing
